The proposed roadmap to the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in November 2008 was the most recent indication that the U.S. will not stay away of the IFRS, when the rest of the world is fully embracing them.
